Hello Kristen Anderson. I googled my own name, Kristin Anderson, and stumbled across your blog….
Yes, it IS a good name….(either way – with an “i” OR with an “e”). I also love Jesus…and books. Can’t say that I know what “bubble tea” is. And I’m not crazy about Indian food, since I tend to have mild taste buds….not to the point of being “bland”…but close.
didn’t have much time to read thru all of your recent posts….BUT, what I did read, I could identify with.
In your Feb. 2007 post (on your former blogsite), you commented on “A People’s History of the US”….excellent book. I recall reading it, several yrs ago now, and how incredibly informative it was.
Oh, and BTW, 25 is NOT “old”! It just feels that way, on occasion. In another 25 yrs (where I am now), you’ll look back, and think to yourself, that it’s TRUE…the older you get, the more quickly time flies by! But, it’s a beautiful life….with all its mystery, pain, joy, loss and laughter. Keep on enjoying your journey, Kristen.
And may God bless you on your path to truth.

Kristen,
I was looking for my old youth leader Will Croney when I found him named in your blog. If it is the Will Croney I am thinking of he used to live in Naperville as you did and is now in KC Missiouri (again like you) working at the International House of Prayer. I wonder if you might know what he is up to.
Sorry if this seems like a strange comment.

Yep, same guy. I see him several times a week at the house of prayer and he works in the coffee shop. I believe his email would be willcroney@ihop.org. It’s a small small world, and Will Croney is the type of guy who just shows up everywhere and knows everyone.
Not strange at all Mike. No worries.

Kristen,
Thank you so much for his email. I have been trying to contact him for years. He is indeed that type of guy. Haha.

2008 to 2010????! That response took awhile, Mike. (Hi, Kristen! Mind if we hi-jack/use your blog? We probably won’t talk about americano-breves. BTW…Nice cheesecake…looked deelish AND perfect. One little thing I noticed…. it was missing was a shofar. Thanks!) Mike, where in the world are you??! I was in IL Jan/Feb 2009 and tried to get ahold of you. Your parents still living in Naperville? email me. You on facebook?
Look forward to talking to you!

Hello, Kristen Anderson. I was googling your name because a calm-after-the-storm wave of “friendly google” washed over me, after a violent onslaught of what I like to call “venge-google”–where you google people you once knew and now resent in hopes that they are incarcerated or on their 5th marriage or something…but how rude, let me re-introduce myself in a way that still keeps my name off the internet, protecting me from people who are perhaps venge-googling me. My name is A manda (see how I dodged even the first name venge-google!? True, unadulterated paranoia). We once, long ago, went to a horrible church together, and then a good church together, and you were a really, really good friend to me at a time when I needed one. I assume knowing me back was a traumatizing enough event that you have not totally forgotten me, unless it’s been repressed like a bad childhood, ha. It’s really nice to see that you seem to be doing well– reading some of the things you’ve written makes me remember talking with you. And while I am normally content to snuggle peacefully in my hermit crab shell and feel satisfied with only the pleasant memory of good associations, I really felt like actually saying hello to you and not just sending you a telepathic greeting. I feel like you’re owed a thanks I never really got to give. Anyway, I don’t know if you ever check this, but if you do and ever one day feel like saying hello, feel free to email me–I think the site must give you my email address, since I have to enter it. If not, lord, I don’t blame you, but I’d like you to know that I appreciate the friendship you gave me and I wish sunshine and buttercups on you.
